Scaffold Falls In Cleveland One Killed
Cleveland, Nov. 20 - One man was killed and another was injured seriously today when a scaffolding at Main Public Library gave way and dropped them 50 feet to the sidewalk.
William Kerver, address unknown, was killed. William P. Hander, was taken to Lakeside hospital with serious injuries.
The men were working in an aircraft 10 feet square in the interior of the library when the scaffolding gave way, police said.

Scaffolding Breaks One Workman Killed
Cleveland, O., Nov. 21 0 One man plunged to his death and another man was injured ' probably fatally Thursday when a scaffolding broke in the public library.
William Kerver, 56, died instantly when his body struck the floor and William Phander, who plunged beside him, was taken to a hospital. Doctors said his condition was critical. Both Men were metal workers.

Returns From Korea - Lieut. Thomas J. Kerver, who served as first lieutenant at the former Battery A. Third Missile Battalion Nike site, recently returned from two years of Korean duty. He is stationed at Fort Slocum, NY where he is teaching public relations and publicity. Lieut. Kerver was a guest of Dr. and Mrs. Elbridge F. Belden and W.O Robert Gould and his family at Palmetto circle over the weekend

Second Lt. Thomas J. Kerver son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Kerver, 31686 Westlake Rd., Avon Lake recently was graduated from the Army's Anti-aircraft Artillery and Guided Missile School at Fort Bliss, TX.
He completed the school's surface-to-air missile officers basic course. The 14 week course trained him in all theoretical and practical aspects of the Nike guided missile.
Kerver entered the Army in June 1956. He is a 1956 graduate of Xavier University.
